AI for Insurance Sales: The Producer Playbook

How top-quartile producers actually use AI across the sales cycle — prep, discovery, presentation, objections, and follow-up — with the prompts and tools.

By Arend de Vries · April 24, 2026

The top quartile of producers we work with are, on average, doing 30-40% more revenue per week than they were 18 months ago. They're not working more hours. They're using AI to move faster in the parts of the sales cycle that used to eat their time.

The five stages, with AI applied

1. Prep Every call gets a 90-second dossier: firmographics, life-events, recent news, likely coverage gaps. Producer walks in already informed.

2. Discovery Meeting AI captures the conversation. Prompt: "Extract the client's three biggest concerns and the two coverage areas we should verify." Notes are done before the producer's next call starts.

3. Presentation Proposals drafted from a template + client-specific inputs. Reviewed, not written from scratch.

4. Objections The producer keeps a personal objection library. Each new objection gets a prompt-tested response added within the week.

5. Follow-up Auto-drafted the same day, always personalised with something specific from the conversation. Producer signs and sends.

The compounding effect Each stage saves 15-30 minutes. Across a full pipeline that's a full extra selling day per week. Same producer. Same hours.
